JANE DE FRANCE
Jane De France is contemporary artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, known for her evocative and expressive floral paintings.
Growing up in an artistically rich family, Jane's passion for art was kindled by her grandfather’s paintings and her mother’s drawings. She fondly recalls sketching with her mother, a memory that continues to influence her work today. Jane finds inspiration in New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes, lush gardens, and everyday life, with a particular love for flowers, which remain a central focus of her vibrant palette. Her style blends impressionism and expressionism, influenced by the works of Monet and Joan Mitchell. Jane's intuitive and spontaneous approach captures the emotions and energy of the moment, depicting the world as it feels rather than as it looks. Her art is a reflection of her personal growth, with each piece offering immense joy and satisfaction. She embraces a newfound freedom in her recent works, moving beyond traditional constraints and exploring a more playful, vibrant style. A member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Jane exhibits her work in select galleries across New Zealand and has gained international recognition, including a feature opportunity on the program “Colour Your Life". Her paintings, described as passionate, ethereal, and dramatic, continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Jane is eager to immerse herself in the world of flowers and share her art with all who appreciate the beauty of expression. |
