Marion Griffiths is a New Zealand painter with over 25 years of experience working primarily in oils and acrylics. Under the guidance of Brent Redding, she has developed a distinctive approach to painting that balances observational sensitivity with a loose, expressive style.
Her work centres on florals, still life and domestic scenes—subjects she returns to for their rhythm, colour, and quiet symbolism. Through layered brushwork and an emphasis on light and movement, Marion captures fleeting moments of natural beauty, allowing each painting to feel alive and gently atmospheric. Marion has exhibited widely across New Zealand and her work has been collected both in New Zealand and internationally. Today, Marion Griffiths continues to paint from her home studio in Havelock North, where her ongoing exploration of colour, form, and gesture remains central to her practice. |
