SACRED GEOMETRY
JULIE MOSELEN & JAMIE ADAMSON
NOVEMBER 15-28
Sacred Geometry unites two sculptors Julie Moselen and Jamie Adamson, in the exploration of ancient principles of geometric harmony.
Moselen’s sculptures, inspired by the mathematical patterns in nature and ancient structures, evoke a deep reverence for balance and universal form. Her use of materials like gold leaf and corten steel enriches her work with a contemplative quality, inviting viewers to reflect on the spiritual connections embedded in geometry. Adamson’s precisely crafted wall sculptures echo this theme, embodying symmetry and balance while interacting dynamically with light. Together, their pieces celebrate the timeless relationship between form, craftsmanship, and natural order that defines sacred geometry. |
Moselen and Adamson unveil the hidden rhythms that shape our world, crafting each piece with a balance that echoes nature's beauty. |

ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES
Julie Moselen
Auckland-based artist Julie Moselen creates metal-crafted sculptures that investigate the interplay of light and space. Her works range from graceful, fluid forms to monumental, totemic structures, establishing a distinct and resonant visual language. Moselen’s sculptures invite moments of quiet contemplation, offering stillness and repose. Rooted in her research on ancient pagan sites, stone circles, and burial chambers, Moselen’s abstracted forms convey a universal energy. “My work is simple and elegant in form, guided by the mathematical principles woven throughout nature, and inspired by the belief systems of ancient cultures,” she explains. Moselen carefully considers surface treatments to enhance the unique qualities of her chosen materials, whether through subtle contrasts or striking highlights. For instance, she often contrasts corten steel with gold leaf to create a dynamic, luminous effect. In addition to indoor works, Moselen has created large-scale sculptures for exhibitions like Sculpture on the Gulf and private sculpture gardens, demonstrating her versatility and skill in working on a grand scale. |
