This Could Be the Answer is a love letter to a landscape that has become inseparable from my own sense of home. For years I imagined that fulfilment might lie elsewhere, contemplating a move and searching for answers beyond the horizon. Yet each time I returned to the same conclusion: the view before me was reason enough to stay. The painting reflects the quiet realisation that the problem I was trying to solve may have been one of my own making, and that sometimes the answer is not to seek a different place, but to recognise the richness of the one we already inhabit. As with all my work, the landscape remains open enough for viewers to bring their own stories, hesitations and interpretations to its surface.
