Anne Sorensen creates kiln-formed glass sculptures that explore the interplay of light, colour and form. Through the careful layering and firing of glass, she builds richly textured surfaces that capture and transform light, revealing subtle shifts in tone, depth and transparency from every angle.
Inspired by the rhythms and patterns of the natural world, Anne's work balances organic forms with refined composition. Each piece is shaped through multiple kiln firings, allowing the glass to fuse, flow and evolve into luminous sculptural works that are both tactile and contemplative. Working in kiln-formed glass since the early 1990s, Anne has developed a distinctive artistic language through decades of experimentation and technical refinement. Her practice spans intimate vessels, wall works and ambitious large-scale installations, showcasing the expressive possibilities of glass and her mastery of the medium. Her award-winning work has been exhibited throughout Australia and New Zealand and is represented in private, corporate and public collections. |
