​Black Door Gallery is an award winning gallery located in Parnell, Auckland. We are proud to showcase the work of a select group of talented New Zealand Artists and Designers.

​We exhibit a beautiful and ever changing selection of contemporary New Zealand painting, wall art, sculpture and glass. Our gallery is nestled in a charming historic villa in the heart of Parnell, the perfect backdrop to our contemporary art collection.

Purchase An Artwork 

Our website represents an up-to-date catalogue of all our available works. New works arriving to the gallery are loaded onto the site within days under the relevant artist. All works listed on this website as Available can be purchased directly from the gallery, by phone or by email.

Works 'On Approval'

If you find an artwork that you like but you would like to view it in-situ we can lend you the artwork 'on approval'. Our standard loan out period is 24 hours. This is a great option to get the piece of mind that the work fits well in your space.

International And Domestic Shipping

All our artworks can be professionally packaged and shipped anywhere in New Zealand or overseas.

Lay-by 

Lay-by is available for your convenience with a deposit.

​Pay off an artwork over a 4 month period while the gallery safely stores the work.

Gift Services & Gift Vouchers

Artworks make for a memorable and unique gift.

​Talk to us about your ideas and let us assist you with finding the perfect gift for the special people in your life. We also offer beautifully presented gift vouchers as an alternative option (vouchers are valid for 1 year).

Commissions

Wedding & Gift Registry

What better way to commemorate a special event than with an original work of art purchased by loved ones. Gifts of art can have further meaning when considered as an investment piece or a family treasure that can be handed down through generations.

Black Door Gallery offers registry services that can be used for weddings or any other special occasion. A registry can be set up for a single artwork, a specific selection of artworks or an open gift voucher.

For the recipient/s, the gallery provides consultation and advise in artwork selection. For the gifters, we ensure all contributions to the registry are noted through acknowledgement cards.

A gift registry can include any medium represented at the gallery from painting, to sculpture, glass, lighting and design.

Art Finance

Black Door Gallery can provide access to interest free loans for art purchases through My Art. Finance available for works from $1,000 - $50,000.

​My Art makes it easy to acquire original art from leading New Zealand fine artists.

Contact Us for the terms of these loans or contact the provider directly.

Black Door Gallery also provides in-gallery flexible purchase options upon request.
