For more than four decades, glass artists Ola Höglund and Marie Simberg-Höglund have worked in close creative partnership, producing luminous sculptural glass works celebrated for their technical mastery, rich colour, and distinctive artistic vision. Combining Scandinavian design influences with an expressive, playful approach to form, their works balance elegance, experimentation, and wonder.
Internationally acclaimed, the duo’s work is held in public and private collections worldwide and has featured in more than 40 exhibitions across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Asia, and the United States. Renowned for their mastery of complex glassblowing techniques including Ariel, Graal, Incalmo, and Sommerso, Ola and Marie create works of remarkable depth, clarity, and movement. Vibrant colours appear suspended within layers of crystal, while fluid organic forms capture and refract light in constantly shifting ways. From their iconic birds and penguins to eclipse vases and intricate masterworks, each piece reflects exceptional craftsmanship and enduring collectability.
