Sebastien Jaunas
Sebastien Jaunas is a sculptor based in Paekakariki, New Zealand. His work explores abstract sculpture, using mixed media, bronze, forged steel, ceramic and wood to create poetic, architectural forms exploring equilibrium, space and movement.
Sebastien Jaunas is strongly influenced by found organic objects and the landscape of New Zealand he is also inspired by the urbanism and cultural life of cities. Sebastien was born in France and has been based in New Zealand since 2006. He has been a 2017 and 2018 New Zealand Contemporary Arts Award Finalist, 2016 and 2019 Wallace Awards finalist, a 2016 NZ Art Show Signature Awards finalist, an Oriel Hoskins and Janet Law scholarship recipient. |
