Velta Karklins

Velta Karklins is a Tauranga based glass artist. Her unique glass works take their inspiration from childhood memories and utilise bright colours and humour to create cheerful and beautiful works of art. Karklin's Neighbourhood series features charming street scenes that capture the facades of houses paired with everyday happenings including pets in the garden and birthday parties. 

Velta Karklins has worked with glass in various forms for over 20 years, she makes her work from her home studio in Tauranga and exhibits her works in select galleries in New Zealand.
