BEN YOUNG NEW WORK RELEASE | 11 JUNE- 1 JULY
We are pleased to announce the eagerly awaited release of new work by Ben Young. We will be exhibiting a suite of new works from 11 June. The catalogue for this exhibition will be available for viewing on 10 June, on our website.
Ben Young is a technically finessed glass artist who creates explorations of the local landscape through evocative glass forms. Each work offers a unique tension between industrial materiality and organic subject matter.
Young will present sculptural works hand crafted from clear sheet float glass, concrete, steel and bronze.

LAYERS OF TIME | NEW WORKS BY ODELLE MORSHUIS
Otago based artist Odelle Morshuis creates sensitive and layered figurative works that explore the movement of people through environments. Her hand-drawn approach is well suited for capturing a sense of flux, change and flow of people through shared spaces.
"I enjoy the more poetic qualities of our relationship with our surroundings, I see nature as not separate from us but as part of a complex inter-relationship".
Odelle utilises mixed media in her paintings, harmonising pencil, pastel, and acrylic paint. Figures are layered on top of one another; or blurred into each other, implying connections and shared histories.
